The Heart Center provides a sanctuary for anyone who walks through the door.

We are an enduring community of students and teachers from all walks of life with a common thread of caring - for our community, for our selves, for the world. The studio offers weekly asana (physical yoga) classes, guided meditations, and enriching community circles. We come together to practice and learn from one another in the quest for greater peace and upliftment.

Let yourself arrive, connect, and experience wholeness through mindful movement, the joy of community, and self-care with dedicated teaches, guides, and students.

Weekly Classes

Awaken the senses with an early morning flow. This class links breath and movement to greet the morning light, setting a vibrant yet grounded intention for the rest of your day.

heart hatha

This sadhana (practice) invites people of all levels to enjoy the healing benefits of Yoga in its most classical form. Breathe deeply & connect to feeling within your body. Learning to work honestly at your edges, you develop effective tools to to maintain connected to yourself and the world around you. Only through connected living (yoga) is it possible for integrity, self awareness & playful curiosity to become part of your daily life. Your only requirement for class is a willingness to learn how to feel authentically & to respond honestly.

Slow + steady hatha

Slow, soften & still. Students will be guided through a balanced, one-hour practice to include mindful movement with an emphasis on breath, pace & grace. Open to all-levels, each session will feature a changing combination of asana (physical postures), pranayama (intentional breathing), meditation (concentration) and yogic teachings.

Vinyasa play

Vinyasa Play provides a little more wiggle room and support to explore and deepen within your practice. Enjoy the space to go beyond the poses and into a deeper connection of light-hearted play within your body. We will  breakdown postures to find what feels good; we aim to enjoy life inside these bodies! Expect to build flexibility, strength, and to ignite joy through a playful and creative vinyasa practice.

slow flow + Sit

Slow down and invite yourself to experience gentle renewal during this 75 minute invitation to your Self. We seldom get the opportunity to practice inner listening and intentional ease for a prolonged period. Tune in to your breath, move easefully in your body, and offer some relief to your nervous system. Students will have the opportunity to integrate the practice with a meditation at the end of class.

Candlelight/ twilight Hatha

Yoga supports us to remember that we belong to the light. During these times, may we take time to curate a lovely, nurturing and quiescent atmosphere most conducive for contemplation and communion with the Divine. We guide community through a well-balanced and most nourishing asana, pranayama and meditation practice that seeks to transform the mundane moment to the hushed sublime of the sacred. All levels are welcome to this evening sadhana.

Yin Yoga

A slow, meditative practice where floor-based poses are held for several minutes. Yin targets deep connective tissues, ligaments, and joints, cultivating stillness and increasing mobility while allowing for a quiet introspection.

Community Meditations

Dharma + Meditation
with Meg Lucks

Mondays 7:00 - 8:15 pm

Tuesdays 7:15 - 8:00 AM

Thursdays 7:15 - 8:00 am

Explore the philosophy of presence and compassion through spiritual teachings followed by silent or guided meditation. This class cultivates a restful mind and an open heart, helping students translate yoga into daily life.

Meditation is considered the heart and crown jewel of many of the great ancient and modern contemplative arts. The essence of meditation, and its many forms, is universal and of deep practical benefit to all. We come to recognize that our minds are often more asleep than awake to the possibilities and beauty of each present moment. While it is within the nature of the mind to go "to sleep", it is also in its innate capacity to serve us in awakening to the fullness of our experience and to use that freshness to the advantage of ourselves, of others and the world all around us. Touching our wakefulness, and purposefully training to do so, benefits all sentient beings.

Session begins at 7:15pm with teachings (shifting monthly), space for group sharing and guided instruction. Forms and teachings honor traditions from both Yoga and Buddhism alike. Your meditation facilitator will provide space for both new practitioners requiring more specific instruction as well as those who are more seasoned in their practice.

Feel free to bring your own cushion or borrow one of ours.

Our wonderful sangha/ community has been gathering for nearly 10 years and would love for you to join us!
